Long-time resident has years of experience working for city
Arthur Buck is hoping to become a Moncton councillor-at-large in the next election.
He has been working for the city since the early 1950s. He has been the director of Recreation & Parks, director of marketing for Atlantic Ski-Doo Ltd, and was an MLA in Moncton North.
He was a commissioner of community services, and has a passion for animals. He was president of The Canadian Association of Zoological Parks & Aquariums.
He is now retired, but keeps busy as a member and president of The Moncton Men's Probus Club, and also helped to start the club's female counterpart.
He was also the regional director of Probus Center Canada Inc., and then elected as the national president for two terms.
He is the Chair of the Chigneto Presbytery for the United Church of Canada, and also serves on the board of New Brunswick Children's Foundation.
He hopes to serve Moncton well if elected May 14.
'Throughout my working career, I have always had a sincere enthusiasm about our city and its quality of life,' said Buck.
'Now, with time and energy on my side, I look forward to working with city council to maintain a positive and aggressive Moncton as a safe place to live, to do business, and raise a family.'
