The Moncton Fire Department was called in to assist an injured cyclist yesterday afternoon.
Platoon Chief Rob Brine says a woman in her mid-20s was cycling on the Humphrey Brook trail at around 2:30 p.m. when she crashed and broke her leg. Someone she was cycling with called for help.
'She was quite a ways back on the trail,' says Brine, estimating she was half a mile in.
Firefighters brought in an ATV and a trailer with a stretcher and brought the woman out so she could be taken for treatment.
